Barad (2016)

The movie is set in Alkud, a simple and regular village in Maharashtra having an agrarian economy. When the government conducts a survey at Bardi, a barren land adjacent to the village, Anna, a veteran from the village is called as a witness to survey. On enquiring about the survey, Anna gets a vague answer and the communication gap leads him yo believe that his land will be acquired. As a safety measure, Anna fences his piece of land, spreading rumors that an industrial zone is about to be set-up in the village. All this confusion ends up in people acquiring the land at inflated prices, ending all bonds of humanity in the region.
