De Verdwenen Kunstwerken van Willem de Ridder (2016)

The artist had arranged this Secret Exhibition, including works titled Black Hole (1995), Screw You (1978) and Laser Vision (1994), without permission or knowledge of the board. De Ridder's voice accompanied the audience along these subtle works, which were barely noticeable to unsuspecting visitors. All these works disappeared during the renovation of the Stedelijk Museum. The documentary takes inventory of the damage, against the background of the age-old question 'when is art Art - with a capital A?' Rather than on 'official art, approved by the museum board' this documentary focuses on the Fluxus movement's rebellious approach to art.
