The near future. Androids (robots designed to look and act like human beings) are in common use. When Helen kicks Colin out of her flat he is forced to move in with his father. Colin then wins a state-of-the-art female android on the lottery. Simultaneously, Helen is unwrapping her new purchase a more modestly priced male android.
