Laxman Gole (2015)

Lakshman Gole is an innocent child studying in 7th grade. His mother is dead and his father married to another woman who is also loving and caring. Due to the increasing criminal activities in the area, his father decides to admit him in boarding school. After much oppose, finally he is admitted there. But he is not happy. So he escapes and come back to home. His angry father scolds and forces him to go back but Lakshman refuses. Now Lakshman starts to roam here and there for time pass and meets some criminal minded boys. One day, while enjoying the quarrel between women at the common water tap and he gets into fight with a man unknowingly. In extreme anger, Lakshman attacks him with razor and escapes in fear. Police arrests him and frames him as a major criminal. He is jailed. He befriends with some criminals in jail who bails him out with the help of Narayan Bhai. Narayan bhai is a land mafia, who gradually attracts and convinces Lakshman to work for him. After knowing this, his father kicks him out from the house. Narayan bhai gives him shelter and this is the start of his journey in the crime world. Lakshman is grownup and became the right hand of Narayan bhai. He has terrorized an entire slum area of Mumbai. He is most wanted criminal involved in extortion, kidnapping and half murders.Narayan bhai's rival Francis is his main enemy. After much crime and up and downs, Lakshman get to know that he is framed by Narayan bhai who has now befriended with Francis and they both want to kill Lakshman. Lakshman vows to take revenge on both but in meantime he is arrested and sent to Arthur Road jail. In jail, he is planing about the revenge. One day, some social workers of Bombay Sarvoday Mandal comes in jail and distributes the autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi, Experiments of Truth. Lakshman starts to read that book and after finding similarities between his life and Gandhi's earlier life, he becomes isolated with constant thoughts. Finally he self realizes and repents and accepts all his crimes in front of the court. He is imprisoned for 4 years. In these 4 years, he does many social works for prisoners and known as "Jail Gandhi". After releasing, he accepts a job from Bombay Sarvoday Mandal and dedicates his whole life to Gandhian principles by spreading the message of peace and harmony.
