The Sea Alps valleys between Novi Ligure and Ovada in the past century have seen stories that changed the course of recent history. The Partisan's Republic of Val Borbera in World War II and years later the settlement of the largest hippy community of the 60's. In 1998 the arrival of Judith Malina's Living Theatre that worked and lived in Rocchetta for five years, producing the show "Resistance!" based on the stories of partisan commander G.B. "Carlo" Lazagna. One thin line connects these experiences still living nowadays in the association "CampoCarlo": this line is the search for freedom.
