Mother, Child (2017)

Having suffered a recent stroke, single mother Lee must come to terms with how different life is now. Meanwhile, her adult son Alex has put everything on hold and moved back home to care for her during the recovery. There's changes afoot, from Lee's sudden dependency on Alex to an impending move interstate. While their relationship has always remained close, even when Alex moved out over a decade ago, living in such close proximity once again dredges up old disagreements. Differences in opinion are reignited, while new restrictions, both physical and psychological, are questioned, placing them on an emotional collision course where the very hierarchy between mother and son is tested.
