Two ancient Greek classics by Euripides are re-imagined, modernized and Americanized. His best known heroine, Electra, is re-interpreted as a fifteen year old farm girl. Electra, who had been abandoned by her mother, Clytemnestra, years ago after the murder of her beloved father, Agamemnon, now tracks down her mother who's long been expecting this momentous confrontation. Euripides' far lesser known play and heroine, Hecuba, is re-interpreted as the fiery sister of a condemned prisoner. Hecuba's last hope before the impending execution of her sister is a full pardon by the newly inaugurated Governor and she will stop at nothing to ensure that her form of justice prevails.
