Born Again Sinner (2017)

'Born Again Sinner' follows a church pastor, Kirk, who is pursued by one of his parishioners. The film opens on Kirk's body lying on the desert floor. His only possessions are a ruined Bible and an intact satchel. He is soon found by a couple Mexican men who spy his body in the distance. Pio, the eldest and his brother-in-law Pancho question Kirk futilely. Aggravated, but curious as to the contents of Kirk's Satchel, Pio takes Kirk back to his home. The following morning, the men attempt to question the pastor again, hoping to find answers to how he ended up in the desert. Kirk speaks to them but offers little in the way of an explanation. Further prying leads to more info. Over the course of their dialogue, Pio grows more comfortable with Kirk. Pancho, however, is not so easy to win over - As the film progresses, we begin to unfold who Kirk is and how he got to being alone on the desert floor.
