ARTHUR (70s), an old man with a need for control and perfection, has conducted his entire life with a clock-like regularity. His daily routine consists of coffee in the morning, feeding mallards in the park, doing crossword puzzles in the afternoon, and listening to the radio before bed. One night, after washing his face and placing the towel neatly on the rack as he has done countless times before, Arthur finds his routine abruptly disrupted when a bird flies out of nowhere and crashes into his window, leaving behind a tiny spot. In the following days, as the spot begins to crack, so does Arthur's life.
