Painkiller (2016)

Rob is a talented young musician with a passion for heavy metal, however he struggles with a physical disability that affects his endurance, appearance, and has him living in constant pain. After being kicked out of his band, it's up to his feisty, high energy best friend, Cass, to get Rob back into doing what he loves. She convinces him to play in the Hellion Bar's upcoming Battle of the Bands, which leads them to recruiting Mickey, a shy jazz drummer of little words. With Cass and Mickey by his side, Rob must rebel against his own body and overcome his self-doubt in order to become the heavy metal front-man he's always dreamed of.
