When 'Marrok' finds himself in isolated captivity, being forced to fight to survive, he becomes emotionally crippled and ultimately a mute. Marrok eventually breaks free into society, but despite his instinctive nature cannot communicate. Marrok exists unaccepted by the world, all apart from one. Maliah. Despite her devotion Marrok struggles to escape the unusual name forced upon him by his captors, and the violent history that accompanies it. Unable to balance his instincts and affections which path will he choose ?
