Damascus, Spring 2011. The revolution begins to rumble. Nahla is a 25 year-old woman torn between her desire for freedom and the hope of leaving the country thanks to an arranged marriage with Samir, a Syrian expatriate in the USA. But when Samir chooses her younger and meeker sister Myriam, Nahla gets closer to her new neighbor, the mysterious Mrs. Jiji, who just moved in the building to open a brothel.
