Tomar Amar Prem (1998)

Tomar Amar Prem is a social drama that is based on a love story and the many troubles one has to overcome to win. It is set in a typical Bengali social set up and deals with the problems of society such as greed for power and money, unjust living, illegal practices and patriarchy. The movie plays out many realistic scenes that are depicted to show the truth of the times. The story focuses on many strong characters who do justice to the plot, especially the female characters. The movie ends on a happy note where everyone is rewarded as per their deeds and motives. It gives out the universally accepted message that good deeds will reward while evil deeds will only harm you.
