Gajamukta (1994)

Gajamukta' is an adventurous story. A foreigner Cuvier who is also a wildlife photographer visits an aristocratic family in Assam in search of gajamukta. The story is a painful saga of the landlord's family who play the brutal game of hunting elephant once in a year as a ritual. Cuvier finds out how this brutal ritual leads to either death of the elephant or humans. Kuhu, the adopted daughter of Lalchand lost her father in this brutal game and her mother left home and died soon after. Kuhu tries to stop Lalchand her foster father from going on his last expedition but fails. Lalchand is killed by the elephant. Lalchand who was unmarried adopts a village boy Chandan as his son to continue this legacy.
