Emergence (2018)

When Tamina reunites with a former flame, Ridley, she rejects his pursuit of extraterrestrial life; she is glad he reached out but doesn't understand why. He seems changed from when she knew him previously. Then she meets his team, computer nerd Gilmore and Harvard Cultural Communications expert Eleanor, at a remote cabin they're using as base camp. When strange things begin to happen, with Gil and Eleanor disappearing, Tamina must choose whether or not to take a leap of faith and experience the unimaginable for herself.
