Whose City? (2017)

Whose city? deals with the architectural disputes in Berlin since the early 1990s. The film touches on crucial questions with relevance for all cities that have experienced ruptures and dramatic changes: How can a new attractive identity be developed and economic prosperity be pursued in a viable way, i.e. without this happening at the cost of existing identities, functions and needs, and what could the role of architecture and city planning be in this connection? Can the city remain a city for all or is it doomed to become ever more exclusive?
