A wandering minstrel stumbles upon the body of a fair-haired woman, murdered by her dark-haired sister. Through meditation and communion with the dead, he becomes her medium, and reveals the brutal injustice inflicted upon this innocent victim through song and a sacred fiddle. Set in the Nineteenth Century and inspired by a traditional murder ballad, TWO SISTERS explores the primal urges, which dwell within the recesses of our human existence. It shows music's ability to transcend our physical desires, bring justice, and heal us. Meant as a continuation of a dialog and the oral narrative tradition, which stems from the continued reinterpretation of traditional ballads, TWO SISTERS revels in the music it grew from and makes visual the story locked in a song.
