'We all have disabilities - some have the luxury of hiding theirs deep inside, while others are clothed in theirs.' - GinaMarieFoxhoven With every passing second, people who were given a visible disability are subject to external judgement or persecution from imperfect judges. This persecution is cast without any probability of positive avail, yet innocent people are victimized for what others believe to be 'imperfection' or 'inadequacy.' The fact is, however, we ALL have disabilities; whether it be insecurities, fears, gluttony, mental or emotional health, temperament or self-image - we are all imperfect. These traits can be relatively hidden when we want them to be, saving us from walking around with our 'hand-raised' and inviting unwelcome judgement against our deepest vulnerabilities. The juxtaposition of this story is that those who may be viewed as 'disabled' also seem to be the ones with the brightest light inside them, the greatest self-love and endless supply of inspiration to those around them. They take the darkness from others and create light - they heal everyone else. This dance short is dedicated to a time when our world finds beauty in vulnerability and imperfections; a time when we all find the ability to embrace every disability, even our own.
