Ben Schore grew up outside of Boston, knowing that he had to support himself and save for his college education by forming the Ben Schore Orchestra while still in high school. He became a successful businessman in real estate and in retirement has made it his mission to award creative financial grants to young artists and musicians throughout New England. Now in his early 80's, Ben struggles with the encroaching challenges of Alzheimer's. Kathy Rines, 15 years younger and his partner for many years, shares Ben's passion for art and music, along with his well-established generosity toward gifted individuals seeking to pursue their artistic goals.
