As a result of this, the audience next see Arthur at the beginning of a new day; of which he has an interview for a new job during the day. In the lead up to the interview, Arthur remembers a series of events that have had an affect on his state of mind. These memories lead Arthur to realise during the interview, how much pressure from his parents as well as his social status amongst his friends, depend on this interview.
