Silkworm cultivation started in our country about 1500 years ago. It has been an important source of income for Bursa and its surroundings for many years. The development of the textile industry in recent years has reduced the interest in sericulture. Koza Han in Bursa, where fresh cocoons were purchased until recently, is today a passage where touristic items are sold.
