Playing Nobokov (2017)

Middle-aged, LA actor Mike Sokolov comes to Ithaca, NY to research the role of Nabokov for an upcoming feature. Angela, an African-American acting student, forces Mike to confront delusions triggered by supposed success, a lingering divorce, and his immersion in Nabokov's work. Haunted by existential anguish, Russian tunes, and gladiator butterflies, Mike plays a risky game on the edge of gravity - is he a nobody, a Nobokov who can never embody the famed writer Nabokov?
