Funny Head (2017)

Marc is a stand-up comic famous for turning the embarrassments and awkward non-sequiturs of his life into comedy routines for the enjoyment of others. He is fresh off of a breakup with a woman named Lindsay, and he has returned to his usual open-mic venue to share the story of how the relationship began, developed, and ultimately blew up. Not long into the set, however, Marc's memories take over and he is forced to relive the most painful moments of the last year in a nightmarish montage. Performance and honesty, friendship and isolation all are at odds as Marc must finally face the fact that his own toxicity has driven away those closest to him, leaving him at a crossroads of how to move forward.
