Sam is at a new school - again. She and her mum, Sandy move from safe house to safe house, always with dad, Martin in the picture. When Jessica takes Sam under her wing, her friend Mark is unhappy that he's been left out. But Mark's violent reactions have more to do with seeing his dad, Pete abuse mum Moira.
