On the surface, it seems like Charlie doesn't really like people. She spends most of her time locked in her bedroom and avoids going outside like the plague. In reality, though, her anxiety has reached the point where even a simple trip to get something to eat is nearly crippling. She sees her roommate, Logan, take on life so easily and Charlie wonders if there is something wrong with herself. After denying Logan's request to go out and have some fun for the hundredth time, Charlie begins to imagine what her life could be like if she lived without fear. The next day Charlie decides she will try to conquer her anxiety, and despite having a breakdown in her apartment, she finally asks Logan if she can come out with her and her friend, Sam. Logan and Sam are excited and supportive of Charlie coming out with them, but Charlie is petrified. She doesn't even make it into the bar before she decides to run home, cursing herself along the way for her ridiculous attempt at being social. On this walk, however, Charlie stumbles upon a little bit of peace in the big city and finally begins to feel at ease.
