Mephisto (2018)

A man is burying one of his parents and then kills himself straight after. He is sent to Hell, represented as a college, sat at a table face to face with the devil. The devil offers the man a contract of agreement to become a "Soul Collector". This man-turned-spirit's objective is to make an assigned target kill themselves for the devil to claim the assigned soul. When the man returns from hell, he seeks out the target, who we discover is a depressed teenager. We explore the vulnerability of the teenager's life. Problems occur and the spirit becomes a guardian angel, where the spirit ends up protecting him from harm and any kind of suicidal tendencies. (Involving bulling and domestic abuse). Though the spirit's intent is to force the boy to kill himself, they share a bond that lasts his entire life. The boy-turned-man cannot stand being away from the protective spirit, being deprived of physical contact. The man considers suicide as a permanent solution to this cruel contract.
