Paradise (1991)

"Raja Weediya" is a poor area and most houses are shanties. Raja is the leader in this area and nobody goes against him. A businessman wants to buy the area and convert it to a tourist hotel. In order to eject the occupants he seeks Raja's help. Raja is honorable and does not agree making him an obstacle to the businessman's plans. The businessman tricks Raja to jail. Raja somehow comes out of the prison before the businessman carries out his plan. Raja falls in love with a lady who moves into the area. She at first rejects Raja's offer since she is a single mother. Raja learns that the child's father happens to be the same businessman. Meanwhile the businessman's daughter has fallen in love with a man in "Raja Weediya" who is a friend of Raja. Raja helps his friend to bring the girlfriend to the area. With his life spiraling out of control, the businessman orders his people to wipe out the "Raja Weediya".
