Liliuokalani: Reflections of Our Queen (2017)

Queen Liliuokalani's mind and heart balanced between two worlds: one native, the other western. Her personal diaries and letters, her compositions with their poetic references, and rare oral histories enliven this film and weave a living tapestry of the complexities and compassion that Hawaii's last reigning monarch embodied. The Queen's "Onipa'a" ('steadfastness') lives on in all who are roused by the living spirit described by the Hawaiian people as "Aloha." This film was specially broadcast on the major Hawaiian networks during the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Queen Liliuokalani's passing.
