Las 17 (2018)

San Salvador, 2004. Christina, a young, very pregnant woman lays her three year old son down to sleep, when suddenly she feels pain. Barely making it to the bathroom, she finds blood down her leg and collapses to the floor. As she wakes in a hospital bed, her baby is now gone, and her wrist handcuffed to the bed. A policeman comes to tell her she is under arrest for the murder of her own child. Christina yells after him, unable to move, exclaiming she had no intention of killing her baby, pleading for help. In San Salvador, abortion is illegal, and a miscarriage is considered an abortion. Christina awaits her sentence to prison.
