Maxine, a Buddhist nun from the Kadampa tradition in Ulverston, Lake District was diagnosed with an ovarian tumour measuring 20cm and given six months to live. Preferring quality over quantity, she refused surgery, chemotherapy and medication and took matters into her own hands. After surviving for almost 4 years after her diagnosis and shrinking her tumour down to 13cm, she wants to set off on a journey to mystical lands to learn the art of dying- Samadhi - an ancient yogic practice attaining enough mastery over life energies to be able to consciously and intentionally leave one's physical body. Will she succeed?
