A chronological list of films featuring werewolves, wolf-men and she-wolves. I wrote a book about some of them called Phases of the Moon: A Cultural History of the Werewolf Film, published by Edinburgh University Press and available from Amazon here (US) and here (UK). Films at the end of the chronology are either in production or currently unavailable with no known release date. Every film on this list has an actual werewolf in it somewhere with rare exceptions for ambiguity (e.g. 1925's Wolfblood). No werewolf fake-outs are accepted.
