"Remember the Rain" is the first film on the vibrant Haitian community in Montreal retracing the path of three first generation immigrants, rediscovering the taste of their independence, through past and new memories of food, youth, religion and their descendants. In this film, the Haitian food culture serves here as a cultural language, an allegory representing Haïti's strengths and sensitivity. This film assembles the only soundtrack ever made by Montreal recording artist and producer High Klassified (Future, The Weeknd) and first film by director Xavier Girard Lachaîne. A personal, contemporary documentary on the rise and footprint of the strong Haitian community setting foot in Montreal.
