Storyline:  In 1931 Berlin, an American performer named Sally Bowles dazzles audiences at the Kit Kat Klub. Brian Roberts, a British academic, moves into Sally's boarding house. They become lovers, and their lives entwine with the enigmatic Baron Maximilian von Heune. Amid the hedonism of the club and the looming threat of the Nazi rise to power, Sally and Brian confront complex emotions and relationships.
