The Merchant of Four Seasons (1972)

A woman is suspicious that her husband may be cheating on her. Late in the film, he is seen visiting his now-married "true love," apparently for sex. She is shown getting completely naked while he starts to undress but stops, and then leaves without explanation. Nudity includes only female full frontal and full rear including pubic hair.

At a police station while being questioned, a woman undoes her blouse to reveal cleavage and kneels in front of seated policeman to perform implied fellatio. But they are soon interrupted by his boss. No nudity save for cleavage.

A married woman is seen picking up a married man for sex. They are next seen naked in her bedroom having rear-entry sex. He is seated on the bed and she is in his lap, thrusting, facing away. Moaning and gasping are heard. They are then interrupted by her young daughter opening the door. The woman gets out of bed and begins crying. Nudity includes female full frontal and male bare chest.

A husband and wife prepare to have sex - she's shown lying on the bed, breasts shown for about half a minute. He's then shown in closeup kissing her nipple and stroking her thigh. Nudity includes brief male full frontal and bare buttocks, and and bare breasts.

A man brags to another man while in a fight that he slept with his wife.

A man is mentioned to have died while serving in the Legion.

A woman is slapped after giving a man a blowjob.

A drunk man tosses a chair at his wife (she closes the door just in time to not get hit, however).

A drunk man violently beats his wife in front of their daughter. She leaves with the daughter to go to her husband's family's apartment, and when he shows up looking to get her back, she starts screaming in fear. He then has a heart attack and falls onto the floor unconscious (he is revealed to be okay, however). They reconcile after the event.

A bound man is shown being whipped for information about the location of a military camp. The torturer points a gun at his head, but is shot and killed by the man's rather tardy fellow soldiers. He asked his enemy to shoot him and then repeatedly asked his buddies why they didn't let him be killed.

This is a good film but essentially a sad story.
