Dersu Uzala (1975)

A military explorer is rescued in Siberia by a rugged Asian hunter and befriends him. Years later, he returns as the head of a larger expedition and the hunter finds that all of his nature lore is of no help when he accompanies the explorer back to civilization. Akira Kurosawa directs this visually stunning film about human connection and the relationship between man and nature.
