Battles Without Honor and Humanity (1973)

Around the start of the film, a group of American soldiers attempt to gang rape a Japanese woman. Quick glimpses of female breasts and male buttocks as one of the men starts thrusting into her. This is done in flashes that are less than a second each. Whole scene lasts around 4 seconds

Guy get his arm cut off with sword with lots of gushing blood and another guy too with slow motion and severed arm seeing in the air and gushing blood. This scene is pretty fast.

Many people are beaten often with bloody results.

A guy has bloody and gory wound in his forehead that has been caused by a sword.

Many people are shot with very bloody results.

To get out of prison earlier, a man fakes a suicide attempt by slicing his stomach open, forcing another guy to call the guards. Blood is pooling everywhere but the wound isn't shown up close.

A guy cuts off his finger with bloody results and people go looking for it. This is a rather comical scene.

Some subtitle versions may include strong curse words like 'fuck'.

Some of the Yakuza establish a racket over a painkilling drug to the people of Hiroshima.

Some people drink sake and smoke cigars.

The film's bleak tone and documentary-like approach makes the violence all the more realistic. Nobody in the film is presented as a 'good' or 'bad' person, so the morality is questionable.

Murder scenes can be intense because of the music and realistic camera work.
