In MacArthur Park (1976)

This is the story of a Mojave from the reservation struggling to make a living and support his family. He ends up in L.A. trying unsuccessfully to find a job. Finally, in desperation, he attempts a mugging. In the emotion of the moment, he stabs and kills the victim. He struggles to deal with this crime and keep away from the police. Unfortunately for him, there was an eyewitness to the crime.
