Storyline:  While reporting on a department store, journalist François is singled out by the owner’s son, Rambal-Cochet, to serve as his paid companion. Pressured by the powerful industrialist who controls the newspaper, François accepts. As he bonds with the child, he encourages a mock newspaper project that exposes the father’s authoritarian conduct.
