The failure of Ramón Budiño, who plans first the murder of his father and is later recognized as incapable of carrying it out, is due in large part to the general attitude of a society that does not tolerate dramatic gestures. However, the radical disengagement of class, beliefs, feelings, profession and memory of the protagonist also plays a decisive role in the drama.
