Lucky Edge (1983)

A retired sailor, Jan (Jerzy Binczycki), returns to Warsaw to live with his materialistic daughter Anna (Stanislawa Celinska) and her family. Disillusioned by their lifestyle and the sterile reality of communist-era Warsaw, Jan seeks solace beyond the confines of their home. His search for peace takes a turn when he meets Pola (Beata Pozniak), a student who shares his passion for the sea and dreams of becoming the first female captain.
