The Quiet Earth (1985)

A scientist named Zac Hobson wakes up to find himself seemingly the only person left on Earth after a mysterious global event. As he grapples with isolation and his deteriorating mental state, Zac eventually meets two other survivors. Together, they uncover why they survived and face the impending danger of the event happening again, forcing them to confront the event's consequences and their own personal conflicts.
