Storyline:  Gerard Reve, a morbid, bisexual, and alcoholic writer plagued by visions of death, travels to Vlissingen to give a lecture. At Amsterdam station, he notices a handsome man who later turns out to be Christine Halsslag’s boyfriend. After a night with Christine, Gerard discovers films revealing her previous husbands’ tragic deaths and begins to suspect she may be a Black Widow. Torn between fascination and fear, he plots to seduce her boyfriend, unsure whether he or Herman will become her next victim.
