Boy Meets Girl (1984)

In Paris, Alex, an aspiring filmmaker, grapples with heartbreak after his girlfriend, Florence, leaves him for his best friend, Thomas. Attempting to strangle Thomas in a fit of anguish, Alex eventually relents and aimlessly roams the city streets. Simultaneously, Mireille, a girl from the provinces venturing to Paris for commercial endeavors, experiences a recent break-up with her boyfriend, an event witnessed by Alex. These two distressed souls serendipitously meet at a party, their shared heartaches forming the backdrop for an emotional connection in the vibrant Parisian atmosphere.
