Das kalte Paradies (1986)

The Eastern European Jan and Elba, who comes from Latin America, meet in a Swiss asylum seekers' home and fall in love. There they wait with many other asylum seekers from different countries for their applications to be recognized. When their asylum application is rejected, Jan and Elba, who have become parents of a child, try unsuccessfully to flee to France. Jan is deported to his home country. Elba and her child hide in a mountain hut with the help of a neighbor until they too are expelled from Switzerland.
