All though there is no gore or gruesome violence it can still be intense for younger viewers.
David is in his teacher's office walking up behind her as she has her back turned towards him. When he gets closer to the teacher she turns around with half a frog in her mouth. David watches in horror as she finishes eating the frog. Then the teacher tells David he's not supposed to be in there.
Some mild chase scenes between David and some adult authority figures.
Near the end of the movie we see 2 men disintegrated by one of the aliens' weapons. Again there is no gore but can be intense for younger viewers.
Aliens tie down people to a table as a brain-like alien creature emerges and uses a long needle: he penetrates into the back of their necks to implant a device to control them.
Later as David escapes the ship a woman is pushed towards one of the aliens and is eaten alive by the alien. Again nothing graphic and it's done in a tongue in cheek way. However, it can be intense for younger viewers.
Two men who have been controlled by the aliens have seizures on the ground and die.
All the violence is done very tongue in cheek style. But for younger viewers it can be intense.
