The Sidewalks of Saturn (1986)

Fabian Cortes, a prominent bandoneon player, is forced to flee the repressive dictatorship in the city of Aquileia and seeks refuge in Paris. While nurturing a decade-long dream of returning home, the border between the two worlds begins to blur when he receives a visit from his sister and her guerrilla organization. Portrayed by the amazing Rodolfo Mederos and as a response to the famous "Invasion" of 1969, Hugo Santiago creates a film that undulates nostalgia, exile, the melancholy of tango, and the ghosts of the past that weave a bridge to the present.
