The Witches of Eastwick (1987)

Based on the novel by John Updike, the film follows three friends who live in the town of Eastwick: Alexandra, Jane and Sukie. Together they form a coven of witches and meet the charismatic Daryl Van Horne. As they explore their powers, their lives are transformed and they discover that their paradise comes with a price, as their connection to Daryl unleashes many supernatural consequences. The film was a success, praised for its mix of dark comedy and fantasy, as well as for its cast: Cher, Susan Sarandon, Michelle Pfeiffer and Jack Nicholson.
