Vera (1986)

In the 80's, the teenage orphan and intern of an institution for protection of minors Bauer (birth name Vera) becomes the protégé of his teacher Paulo that gets a job for him in a library. Bauer is a poetess and lives an inner conflict with his gender, feeling a man trapped in a female body. He falls in love with Clara, who works in the video department of the library and has a son, and they have a relationship. While he writes her biography, he recalls his life in the institution. However, he is not able to deal with his gender crisis.
