Love at First Sight (1991)

Zenon Bloch, an unemployed archaeologist, and widower father of two, lives in East Berlin. Elsa Süsseisen, lives in West Berlin,, raises her only daughter alone, and exercises the useful profession of futurologist. But it is not because one comes from the past and the defunct GDR and the other from the future and the providential RFA that they cannot bind conversation in the present moment in reunified Berlin, on the playground where their children frolic. From the first glance, something happens between them which augurs well for the future destiny of the German nation: reconciled, although not without conflict, around the possibility of love .
