Notte di stelle (1991)

Two men and a woman are in an existential crisis. We meet them through their stories. The woman works in a small ballroom band, the men are a painter who has been in prison and an unrealised filmmaker. The glimmer that opens up at one point is the desire to make a small film. But everything is doomed to failure.
